ost bars in the city tend to be on the high-end and somewhat classy. But it is a varied scene. The majority have several rooms, each of which offers a different environment, to chat with friends, to smoke, or to dance, so that activities do not clash. In general, the music is not as loud as it is in clubs and, unlike the nightclubs, you can actually talk to friends without having to shout.

While bars do not impose a dress code, you are nevertheless expected to look presentable. There is no cover charge. The music at most bars is “lounge” modern, but with a more relaxed tempo than at the nightclubs. Some bars have DJs, but many just pipe in the music.

Most bars also offer private VIP rooms, where small groups can gather in private. All serve food. A popular item is having a grill at the bar, where you can order shish kabob, burgers and other grilled items.
